OUR BUDGET
What We Need and How You Can Help!
Our $6,000 budget is broken down as follows:
A majority of our budget will go towards airfare for our four key crew members -the Producer, Associate Producer, Director, and Cinematographer - to go from Boston, MA, to Tucson, AZ and back.
The remainder of the budget accounts for meals provided to the cast and crew over our 5 shooting days, lighting equipment rentals, payment for location usage, post-production and distribution expenses, and a percentage for talent compensation and contingency.
IMPACT
Our goal with this project is to create a new type of Western, one that focuses on a strong female lead and is relatable to audiences through themes of feeling displaced in society and struggling to find yourself which are both a part of growing up.
Supporting this film means supporting young independent filmmakers as well as supporting a film that strives to challenge the typical male-centric nature of, not only Westerns but, cinema in general.
RISKS AND CHALLENGES
With any film, there are also a variety of obstacles and challenges that we are faced with. For this project, the biggest challenge for us is organizing an entire production remotely. Since we are in school in Boston, we will not be able to make it out to Tucson until the week of production. This can be very stressful; however, with our academic preparation and extracurricular involvement in many projects of this caliber we feel confident in our abilities to pull this off!
Regardless of what challenges we may face, we have built into our schedule adequate time and resources to allow for us to adjust smoothly to anything that gets thrown our way. We have the support of our professors and faculty, we hope we can count on your support as well!
